Boxed wine, you ask? We know what you’re thinking: Once upon a time, good wines didn’t come in boxes.
We are happy to announce that this is no longer the case! These wines are tastier than ever, and (unless you’re looking for something to cellar for decades) they belong in your shopping cart today.

Nearly all of the everyday wines we love are perfectly suited to the bag-in-box format. They don’t lose a thing by being packed in a box – in fact, the boxed versions can actually be better. Here’s how:
The Freshness Argument:
Since the bags are virtually airtight, you don’t have to worry about finishing the bottle right away; bag-in-box wines can last for weeks after opening
The vast majority of modern wines are meant to be consumed on release (not cellared), so they do not require the precise air permeability provided by a cork closure
The Green Argument
Less packaging waste: a 3-liter box = 4 750-mL glass bottles
Less weight makes boxes easier to ship, leaving a smaller carbon footprint
The “Green” Argument
The producers save on packaging costs, so the wines cost less
Boxed wines are – by far – some of the best values in our store
Taste any of the wines on our Top 11 list this week and you’ll see that great wines really do come in large packages these days.
Pro Tip: If you’re still timid about showing off your box of wine… just call it a “cask.”
